Read through the following 10 items.

        Flag

        Plane

        Moon

        Bottle

        Cucumber

        Onion

        Ed Sheeran

        Chocolate

        Curtain

        Street   

Go to your kitchen and make a cup of coffee.

And then after 5 minutes: which item / items do you remember? 

You might have remembered some items.

And you definitely remembered: Ed Sheeran.

Why? 

Because it is the most unusual in this list.

Special.

Outstanding. 

And here is the clue for you: We do remember the outstanding.

Let’s make it stronger: bizarre and weird.

If you practice with kids, please use the word: crazy. 

Summary:

If it is normal and bland, then it is hard to remember.

If it is weird and crazy: it is easier.

Or: the weirder and crazier it is, the easier to remember.
