INTEREST

Some time ago I took out a book from the local library entitled: Study Skills.

The title was promising. I flicked through it and less than 2 pages were devoted to Memory Techniques. And on those two pages the summary could be:

It helps if you have an interest in the subject.

My immeditate question was:

What to do if you don’t have an interest?

Say, you are doing a course, you are a student in college or secondary school, and there is this subject you simply are not interested in?

What are doing now?

How to overcome this problem is one of the main themes of this whole website.

In Basic Memory Techniques you learned already how to remember anything that you want.

Now in this chapter you are introduced to more ideas that can increase your learning efforts (especially when interest is not really there).
