It is a good idea to have a grid, a structure of what is to come in the lecture. (And that is the content table.)
The lecturer will stress certain points, and/or omit certain points.
Study the body language of your lecturer and voluntarily or even un-voluntarily he WILL give you the exam questions.
However: You can only concentrate on his body-language and his sound of voice if you have the content table = structure already in your head.
I promise you, it is easier that you think.
Like from a bird’s eye view, you just know the entire structure of that chapter = lecture.
And that is what content tables are for anyway.
