6.6 Tip #6: TEACHING AND TALKING TO KIDS

There is great reward and satisfaction to teach kids.

And in a playful way you can teach them an immensely valuable skill.

Say, you are walking your child to school and you have a chat.

Some unusual word may come up, and you could hint: Oh, that sounds a bit like ...

Or: How does that sound to you?

Or: Oh, that reminds me of ...

Don’t you worry, the child will pick it up faster than you think (as long as you keep it like

a game and playful). And you will enjoy the experience realising how much phantasy kids have.

This may even be the starting point to a ‘creative’ career. Read the biographies of famous creative people. Often enough there is a sentence like: Every time I visited granny I could allow myself to be totally creative, or: My grand-dad encouraged me day-dreaming. That’s it: you are planting a seed. And what a rewarding experience this is.
