5.4 RAINBOW EXERCISE

The RAINBOW exercise may be helpful for making your pictures a little bit more colourful.

First a few facts:

- Colour in your imagined pictures is not necessary, however it helps.

- Girls/women see more (brighter etc.) colours than boys/men. Sorry, that the way the cookie crumbles.

- The older we get, the more colours fade. Again, sorry for the news, however that’s just the way it is.

However, you can bring back colour with this exercise (for memory improvement and maybe even figuratively speaking back into your life).

Tonight, when going to bed, just before you notice you drift off into your sleep, imagine the colours of the rainbow. There is no right and wrong here, simply attempt it as good as it gets. See the red, then orange, then yellow, then green, then pale blue, then dark blue, and finally purple.

Do this every night for three weeks.

And at one stage you WILL surprise yourself: You will wake up in the morning, and very excitedly you will inform your partner that you dreamt in colour again (maybe for a very long time). It is a very up-lifting experience.

And now you can use it, to make your connections more colourful and therefore easier to remember.

Use the rainbow exercise to make your connections more memorable.
